Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, Dean was raised on a cattle farm and grew up on country music and pickup trucks. An injury his junior year of high school cut short his college and pro baseball aspirations so he joined the military at the age of 18 and moved down south to Texas.

His first taste of music and the stage came as a worship leader at a Southern Baptist church in El Paso, TX. When he left the military in 2011 he moved to Dallas and spent nearly two years working on his vocal chops and writing skills, playing all the local bars and writing his first album, before moving to Los Angeles at the end of 2012.

In 2014 after just two short years Dean graduated with honors from The Musicians Institute in Hollywood with a degree in Commercial Vocal Performance and Music Business. He founded a Southern rock band "Blackhawk Revolution," that quickly found success in the Southern California country music circuit and wrote his second album.

In January of 2014 he also joined the highly sought after country band "Gold Rush Country," becoming their newest frontman, and playing dates all over the Southwest, (Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Anaheim, San Diego, San Francisco, etc.) and opening for several national acts such as Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves, Justin Moore, and Lonestar. Dean also quickly became a first-call for several of LA and Nashville's top producers and songwriters looking for an authentic Nashville, modern country sound in LA to represent their music, and has had his voice on songs sent to artists such as Luke Bryan and Rascal Flatts, and also the popular TV shows Parenthood and Nashville.

Dean is currently fronting his own band and working on his debut solo album titled "Dark Horse."

The sky is the limit for this talented young artist, and we expect big things from him in 2017 and beyond.
